The Rose Bowl Trophy
This trophy is no show piece but every team/club
wants to get there hands on this bit of tin. The competition if fierce to have
the privilege of taking it home at the year.
From the year 1961, the Western Australian Karting Association has awarded an
annual Trophy, the prestigious "Rose Bowl" which is presented to the club whose
drivers achieve the most amount of points or placing's in all classes in the
finals of the State Titles.
In 1999 the State Titles were held in the resort town of Exmouth, Western
Australia, on the 1st 2nd 3rd 0f October.
198 karts registered for the Individual State
Titles in Exmouth for 1999 and there were some very colorful drivers and teams
with what looked like big sponsorship on their kart trailers and team tents.
So all and all a great achievement in kart racing
for a group of seven privateer drivers from a small mining town club in Pilbara
of North West of Australia. read more... |
